Finding myself stranded innJakarta for an extra night, as there were no train tickets left (really, and this was trying to book more than 24h in advance!), and my original hotel being full, I had to look at other options. I had previously dismissed the Oyo chain, as I couldn’t believe that a reasonable service could be provided for such a low cost. Running low on options though, I thought I’d give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived not long after midday, and I was allowed to check in, despite the usual check-in time being 2 pm. The room was small, but had everything that I needed. I ordered a coffee the next day, in the café next to reception, without checking the prices first. The coffee cost me more than some of the meal and drink combos that the café was selling; a lesson learned. Nothing much more to say, other than the fact that the hotel is in an unusual part of town, and that the street is very narrow, so it may not be possible for your cab to drop you at the door. Would recommend.

Oh well.. The hotel itself is situated in Central Jakarta and close to many of the shopping malls (20-30mins walk to Grand Indonesia). However the building is inside a residential quarter with narrow road. It can be quite difficult to get in or out of the area. The most disappointment is there is no real security at any times. The air conditioning could be improved as it can be really warm inside in any hot days. Great shower and toilet though.

I really liked this hotel, which is the reason why I came here twice! The rooms are great, the bed is cozy and the staff is very friendly. Inside the hotel, there is a small café, which serves nice food and great coffee! I can really recommend this hotel for a stay in Jakarta!

Room is quiet ok, but d AC is hot. It took almost 30min for d AC to produce cool air, but d AC wouldn’t be able to make d room comfortable enough. It’s cooler to stay inside d lift instead of staying in d room. D front desk staff informed that most if d AC needed to be serviced & he couldn’t give another room, bec it’s either warm or different room type. The road is very narrow (1 car only) and it’s closed after midnite, so i hv to jump over d gate. No manager on duty avbl, so he asked me to wait till morning. What a bad exp

We booked one night in oyo apple platinum hotel with agoda and already paid by credit card. We arrived at 00:30 in the night. At arriving the hotel seemed to be fully booked. There was no room available. The hotel made a mistake and the room was double booked. The reseptionist did not appolagise for their mistake. At first the receptionist just wanted to give our money back and wanted to let us search for an other hotel our selves. We don't think it is friendly to put your guest out of the hotel in the middle of the night. So we had to ask him for several times to book another hotel for us. We think it is nothing more than there responsibility to search for something else. It took him 2 ours to book something else for us. At first the receptions was not even willing to pay a little extra for a room. And even asked us to pay the extra cost for the room.. After discutions he was willing to pay 1,50euro (30 RP) extra for a room. We where not a where of the hotel we where going to. He only gave us a name and asked us to book a taxi our selves. More discutions had to follow and after a while he finally expected the fact that it is his responsibility to book a taxi and pay for it. It was all taking al very long and almost half of our night was gone. We had the ask several times to get in contact with the manager. At first that was not possible. Finally we called with the manager. An unfriendly person who say that it was not their mistake. The manager didn't put any afford with solving our problem, our giving us the feeling that he was sorry. So at 3 in the morning we leave the hotel to another place what was booked by the receptionist. He gave us cach money for the room. But when we arrived there was no room booked for us. We where lucky that their was still a room available. The worst of all was the attitude from the receptionist and the manager. It was their mistake! They did not put much effort in to helping us well in the middle of the night. They where caring more about their money lost than the fact that we had no where to go. We don't recomment this hotel to anybody!!
